What it is
Most jobs go faster and more smoothly when the room is cleared before the fitter arrives. Where that genuinely is not possible, whether through limited storage elsewhere in the house or heavy or awkward furniture, this service adds moving it aside for the day as a separate, clearly priced line.
How it works
It is a single per-job charge rather than a per-item one, added to your quote only if you ask for it at the measure. Fragile or particularly valuable items are best moved by you beforehand regardless, since a flooring fitter is not a specialist furniture remover.
What to expect on the day
Furniture is moved to another room or to one side of the room being fitted, and put back once the floor is down, though putting fitted items such as wardrobes back together is not included.
